Story

The Clifton Cycle Team ( Rachel Legge, John Atkinson, Kevan Waby, Jane Allen and Nicky Wilkinson) are all friends and colleagues who work at Clifton Primary School and who knew Edward well. Most of us have not cycled in years but we have been inspired by Edward and know that he would most definitely say "Just do it!" and so, we are cycling the 45 miles in Edward's memory, to raise awareness and funds for the charity Meningitis Now.

Nicky's Story

31st July 2017
Well, we started cycling in April and whilst it is most definitely beneficial to my health, the main reason and motivation behind it, is Edward. We have about six weeks to go and so far, the furthest we've done is 33 miles. Whilst 45 miles might not seem that far, it is the challenge of inclement weather and punishing inclines that are our greatest concern. When facing these hurdles I always think of Edward and how he would never have given up. Please, please could you take a moment out of your day to look at our page and read our story. If you can, please donate, however small an amount but I understand this is not always possible, so alternatively, please share this post. No one, let alone a 10 year old child should be taken from their parents by such a cruel disease. We must raise awareness and fight this indiscriminate killer. Thank you ❤️ #forEdward
