Story

Mark Selby: "I recently decided to enter the London Marathon in order to support a friend to complete his first marathon. John mentioned he had applied for a charity place with Meningitis Now just before his wife gave birth to their 4th child! Having become a Coach in Running Fitness last year, and after completing two marathons already, I thought giving John all the encouragement, tips and advice I could, along with helping with the long hours of training would be a great experience. Our local community was devastated when a young school boy, Edward Dee lost his life to meningitis - John taught Edward at Clifton Primary School and has helped raise money for Meningitis Now to raise awareness of the symptoms to look out for. Please help us reach our fundraising target and support a brilliant charity so we can help spread the word about meningitis!"
